This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit simple-conversions.com, create an account, download our plugin, purchase a license, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
1) Who we are (Data Controller)
For the purposes of EU/UK data protection law, we are the “controller” of your personal data processed in connection with the Services.
2) Data we collect
A. Information you provide
- Account & licensing: name, surname, company, billing address, email, and password (hashed).
- Purchases: billing details required for invoicing and tax compliance.
- Support: messages and attachments you send to our support email.
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage logs: IP address, device/browser info, pages visited, timestamps, referrer URLs (standard server logs for security and analytics).
- Cookies & pixels: small data files set by our site and third parties (see section Cookies).
C. Information from payment provider
- Stripe shares with us payment status, last 4 digits of card, card brand, and customer/subscription identifiers. We do not receive or store full card numbers or CVV.
3) How we use your data & legal bases
- Provide and manage the Services (account creation, license issuance/validation, downloads). Contract

4) Payments via Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments. Card data is submitted directly to Stripe; we never store complete card details on our servers. Stripe acts as an independent controller for certain processing and as a processor for others. See Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
- Data shared with Stripe: email, billing info, purchase amount/currency, product identifiers, and technical metadata (IP, device).
- Data we receive back: payment status, customer and subscription IDs, partial card info (brand/last4), invoices.
5) Analytics, Tag Manager & Ads pixels
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how our site is used and to manage tags. We may also implement Meta (Facebook) Pixel and TikTok Pixel for conversion measurement and marketing attribution.
- Where required by law, we activate non-essential cookies/pixels only with your consent (via a banner/manager).
- You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings (see section Cookies).
- Data collected by these providers may be transferred outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).
6) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies for core functionality (session, security, licensing), analytics, and marketing.

- Analytics: GA/Tag Manager (aggregated usage metrics).
- Marketing: Meta & TikTok pixels (only with consent).

7) How we share information & international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers (processors) such as hosting, security/CDN, analytics, and email. They process data under our instructions.
- Stripe for payments and invoicing.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Some recipients are located outside the EEA/UK (e.g., the United States). In such cases, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional safeguards where appropriate.
8) Data retention
- Account & licensing data: retained while your account remains active. Upon account deletion, we remove or anonymize data unless retention is required by law.
- Invoices & tax records: retained for up to 10 years (or as required by applicable law).
- Server logs: retained for a limited period necessary for security and diagnostics.
9) Your rights (EEA/UK/GDPR)
Subject to conditions and legal limitations, you have the right to:
- Access, rectify, or erase your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing (including to processing based on legitimate interests).
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing).

10) Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (TLS/HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege, monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to delete it.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated (e.g., via email or on this page). The “Effective date” indicates when it was last revised.
